There is a different vibe here compared to the megastore SF down the street. It seems really focused on Asian market goods without compromise in a good way. Also, they make sandwiches there at an incredible value and they look pretty good, but I have yet to pull the trigger on one. The roast pork looked pretty good and fresh. Since I went on during Chinese New Year there were many exotic things available. I think what I like about this store is they don't try to offer many American type groceries. Mostly everything here has some Chinese writing on it and it makes shopping here a bit of a fun mystery. Also, I've been baking with a lot of Taro or Ube type ingredients and they have frozen Taro available and Ube flavored condensed milk which is phenomenal on pancakes! I would give this store 5 stars but I will have to compare it to other Asian markets in this area.

I always go here for the fresh Asian vegetables and grocery selection. It's affordable and workers are pretty fast. They recently updated their registers and now take tap pay. Hot food has good banh cuon, bread options, and pork belly, etc.

As someone who's family and themselves come here for the last 10+ years, this place has everything you need. It sells mostly Lao, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese cruisine but the area the store is located at is very ghetto but lots of gangs and homeless laundering around. This store has amazing Kluangfen, Kunfin, however u spell it and the baked goods and meat is amazing and fresh! The vegetables are very expensive however and usually rotten so would not recommend. Very popular amongst the community and most Asians. The employees are nice and does their job. Good lotto cash out area. There is that old chinese medicine or vegetable smell u get when u are in the store. But overall, very authentic Asian

Ironically I don't come here for groceries, despite it being a supermarket. I come MAINLY for the prepped food in their deli and/or hot food section. You know how we all consider Costco to be the GOAT for their rotisserie chicken? Well I consider Wing Wa to be the GOAT for Cantonese-style roast duck. And I mustn't say that lightly. Their roast duck is the FIRST thing I get when I'm in town. My current city is deprived of good roast duck, and traveling to Sac just for some duck tells us all that it is much worthy coming to Wing Wa for. Stockton Blvd is nearly booked with Asian supermarkets spanning across both sides of the street, many in close proximity of each other. But what makes Wing Wa so different? For one, the ample parking lot leaves you plenty of spots and less likely to get stuck in traffic. I like not having to deal with speed bumps especially during rush hour. The distinct bright blue color makes it hard to miss and it's just sooo easy to tell your family which one to go to by saying "the blue one". And the butcher section is so neat and clean! I find that the meat here is MUCH fresher than other Asian counterparts down the street. There's one other supermarket in close proximity located south of Wing Wa on Stockton Blvd...Unfortunately that one is directly across a cemetary! If you believe in spirits and offering food to the dead, you'll connect the two and see why people frequent Wing Wa for fresh meat instead. Overall, I believe each supermarket is quite distinct and each with varying qualities. Like most people do, we all have favorites when it comes to grocery stores and I pick Wing Wa any day when it comes Asian supermarkets. Area is sketchy yeah, but it shouldn't deter you from coming. It could be said the same for literally all of Stockton Blvd to be honest..
